Holed up in a hotel in Eugene

Sadly, I'm out of the moho for at least 3 weeks while it gets fixed. In the meantime we're in a place called the Residence Inn. Guess I'm the resident they are talkin' about! In the pic above, you can see my spot is on my cage on the table. See the lamp behind me? I love to chew it!!! I chew it every chance I get, even when the mom & dad yell at me, I still chew it! I'm obsessed. Today they are trying to distract me with this cool little rubber ball toy. It'll keep me occupied for awhile. Not much exciting goes on around here. Sometimes the housekeeper comes in. She doesn't speak english and mom told her I'd bite her finger off (I wouldn't really, but that's to keep their fingers outta my domaine). I have only gotten outside once 'cuz it got really really hot here. Mom says it's a hunert! Dat's really hot! Whew! So we hang out in the a/c and nap, watch TV and read.

Visitooin in SLC

We've been in SLC for a week now and I've been a visitooin 'too. I went to Cockatoo Street 'too times! The first time was pretty overwhelming because I slept in the next day until 9am! I only got up because the dad made me. But at the first visit, Ellie, the other banana-headed bird hung out with me, not near me but in my area. She recognizes that us yellow-headed birds have to hang together to prevent the umbrellas taking over the world.

Last night mom took sushi over the to Cockatoo street. Us birds munched on chopsticks while the moms ate sushi. The dad, Gregg, doesn't like sushi, so he hung out with us. Later we went to the bird room and I hung out with Chickin. He says his name a lot, like me. He musta usta get in a lot of trouble, because he likes to say, "Whacha doin chickin?"

This morning I only slept in until 8:15. The dad and I shared a piece of toast w/peanut butter. I LOVE peanut butter as you can see in the pic above.

Another exciting day on Cockatoo Street

Yesterday the mom took me over to this place called Cockatoo Street, here in Salt Lake City. We sat outside and watched their 'toos run around on the table, whistle, talk, scream, hop and all kinds of crazy stuff. At one point mom suggested that I'd be more fun if I ran around and was as animated as one of their 'toos. Their dad, Gregg said, "no...you don't want that. It's cute for 5 minutes, then it's annoying". So I stayed my usual calm self and watched everything that went on. Occasionally I wowed them with a "Hi Sweeter!" and "Hi Baby!". All was going good, until mom's favorite 'too climbed up on her shoulder, the same one I was using. All of a sudden, he started fighting with me!!!! I screamed and screamed until his mom snatched him away and gave him a for-the-rest-of-the-afternoon time out.

Pretty soon it got to be 'too hot to sit outside, so we went in. Cari (the 'toos mom) & my mom started talking about going to lunch. Gregg ('too dad) stayed back 'cause Cari made him get up early and he doesn't get up early, like us 'toos. They put together a 'too food bonanza, and put me in thier large, extra cage. I looked around, amazed at the mansion I was in. Pretty soon I found something to chew, so mom knew I was ok to leave. When they came back, they had my dad with them! All in all, it was an exciting day! I was sooo worn out that I slept in until 9am today and I only woke up 'cause the dad woked me.
