Time in a tree (Kanab, Utah)

When mom & dad got back from biking today, they took me outside to watch dad clean the motorhome. Mom thought I'd look cute in a tree and put me up there. Wow!!! Who knew trees could be so much fun! This was the schnizzle!!! There was soooo much to chew within reaching distance, I didn't know where to start. First I chewed some bark, then I chewed some green dangly things, then I chewed more bark. After awhile mom took me in and I fell asleep, exhausted from all that chewin. Whew!

A day at the sanctuary

Mom & dad spent the day at an animal sanctuary, playing with animals that aren't as fortunate as cute little me. Since there wasn't a need for volunteers in the bird area, they got to play with cats (eewww!). Dad even got to take a cat for a walk! A cat that walks on a leash? I thought they were smarter than that. See the pic for proof. After lunch they got a tour of the bird area, and I have proof that mom was playing with one of those scritch-hoe big pink birds. Mom said his name is Seppi and he's very friendly to strangers, which is why he gets so many scritches. I'll have to think more about that. Dad said this animal sanctuary is HUGE, covering 3000 acres and leasing another 30,000 acres from the Utah BLM (bureau of land management). In the cat area alone, they have over 600 cats!!! The bird area has 85 birds, including a room full of tiels...my favorite play toy. We used to have a 'tiel (cockatiel) and I picked it up by the tail and flung it...airplane style. Mom said that wasn't very nice, but I got to eat her seeds. I never get seeds, so it was a big treat.

Conquering Cats! (Gilroy, CA)

I haven't had much to post lately, it's been cold and rainy for the last week here in Central California.

The weater was nice today, time for mom and dad to take me for a walk around the campground. So, this morning I took a BIG shower. At first Dad had to convince me, but once he did, there was no stopping me. I scrubbed my head into his hand, spread my wings out waaaayyy far, and shook my booty. Now I'm clean and my wing pits smell baby butt fresh. Aaahhhhh..... I have to look my best for my walk.

Later, in the afternoon, I caught this cat spying on me on top of my car! Since I've already conqured dogs (see my earlier post), time to smack down a cat!

I asked dad to take me outside for the best effect. When we went out there, I screamed as loud as I could at her! She jumped off the car, into the street and immediately rolled over to play dead.

Cat's are such babies!!!
