Day of bike rides, walks, dogs & a cat

I'm sorry, loyal readers, that I haven't posted anything in a long time, but my life hasn't been too exciting lately. First we traveled for 3 days in a row, then I was stuck in this darn moho because it rained and rained and rained for 5 days. It brought back memories of our first campground, way back in October, 2005 in Pennsylvania. We're in Eugene, Oregon where it rains 48" a year, go figure. But today I finally got to get out & about. I even met some of the neighbors. First dad took me on a walk up to the office to get our mail. Then, after my parronts came back from a bike ride, mom took me on a bike ride. We went down the road a bit, then around the campground 'too times! I was pretty tired after that. But that wasn't all! After dinner, mom & dad took me on a walk. First we discovered a cat in the windshield of the moho next door. We had a staring contest. I won (naturally). After I won that contest, we started walking. We walked around the campground once and I met 4 dogs! I even gave one that got a little too close a POW on the nose.

After we got back, mom & dad made popcorn while they watched The Apprentice. I didn't watch it. I just ate my popcorn under the TV, on top of my cage. Then it got dark and I went too sleep....exhausted. Whew!

Another visit to Cockatoo Street!

Oh boy! My parrents took me on another visit to Cockatoo street. What craziness. I was still my shy self, but I let Gregg and Cari get in a little bit of touches. They kept saying they wanted to cuddle me and squeeze me and scritch me. No way! Not this 'too! I do find it comforting to hang out on Cari's shoulder at times, especially in the bird room when those other birds are showing off. Here's a picture of a 'too playing "dead" when his dad "shot" him:

Here's a picture of 2 'toos doing their "big eagle" pose. It's a little blurry 'cause my feet were shaking when I took the pic:

This is Cupid, doing his best, "I'm so cute, how can you resist me?" pose. (Boy do I know that look!)

This picture of me and my sorta-twin, Ellie. She's a medium-sulfer 'too, I'm a lessor (but it doesn't mean I'm any "lessor" cute!). I'm the one on the left. You'll notice we both have the same size beakies, even though she outweighs me by 100 grams (porker! LOL!)

And lastly, this is a picture of a 'too waving good bye.

Whew! I was exhausted when I got home, but thanks to my new friends, I have a cool new sock toy. Here's a pic of me exploring what's inside the sock.

My biggest day ever! (Salt Lake City)

Tooday I took a trip to Cockatoo Street, a very nice home of 10, count 'em 10 cockatoos! I, met Cari & Gregg Anders and their 'toos. I'm not going to remember all the names, but I'll try to remember them all. I met Chickin, Sam, Buddy, Ellie, Cupid, Clancy, and that's all I can remember. When we went upstairs, they opened the door to the birdy room, and I was FREAKED out. I mean there was ropes, toys, and cages everywhere! It was so overwhelming, that I headed for the hills. Then dad came and got me, and they took me in that sceary room & closed the door. Cari looked friendly enough, so I jumped on her. She had a bird named Ellie, that looks like me, but outweighs me by over 100 grams. She was pretty friendly. We occasionally had to share a shoulder, but that was ok too.

Then later, the husband, Gregg came home. He was ok, so I jumped on him, and made his day by letting him scritch under my wings. He seemed to know what he was doing. Then we went downstairs and ate something. Mom offered me something, but I learned to never let a boy see you eat, so I demurely declined. But I couldn't resist when they brought out the peanut butter! Yum! I LOVE peanut butter. After that we decided to leave because I was exhausted. Whew!

It was a good day! By the way...dad & mom brought the camera, but forgot to take pictures. Hopefully we can get together with them again and get some good shots!
